Vernon is a big boy with a lot of love to give. He has loved with older children (10+), cats, chickens, and a guinea pig (he has never chased or nipped at them). He has shown some reactivity to other dogs on walks (but not all- he may be selective) and does not like young children. He is a smart boy who knows sit, stay, high-five, potty, kennel, and a few other commands. He is kennel trained and has some separation anxiety so he would do best being kenneled when alone. He is very good at following commands and staying out of areas where he is not allowed. He does not beg during meal times and is respectful when meeting new people (he doesn't tend to jump on/lick people's faces). He loves people and being outside. His ideal home would have lots of time outside and time with his people. He is described as wanting to make the people around him happy and being very sweet.
