Luna is an exceptional dog. She is very high energy, goofy, playful, loving, and it will feel like a party every time you come home with how excited she is to see you. She is only being rehomed due to health issues with the current owner.
Luna would do well in a home with an experienced dog guardian who has the time, energy, and desire to exercise, train and play with her. She is very driven and smart and just wants to please you. She LOVES training, agility, nose games, anything that keeps her mind going.
Luna is on the anxious side and is reactive toward other dogs. She has worked with trainers, her vet, and a veterinary behaviorist to address these issues and she has made huge improvements. She is currently on prozac which has helped the anxiety and reactivity significantly. If she was in a home where she could get the physical and mental stimulation she needed then the reactivity would likely become less of an issue.
Luna currently lives with one dog and one cat. She can make dog friends, but they need to be introduced very slowly and the other dog needs to be very calm and not excitable. Her current doggy BFF is a senior Great Pyrenees. She loves having animal companions and does better with a dog or cat friend around. When Luna meets new people she is very excitable at first and then she will calm down. She matches the energy around her; if you are calm- she will be more calm. She is very obedient and knows a host of commands and tricks. She is not destructive and is VERY well behaved at home.
Luna would be a great dog for a person who is energetic, loves "nerding out" on dog training and enrichment, and who has the time and ability to exercise and care for her. She just wants a home where she will thrive and be loved.
